Solution dyed is when dye is mixed in with the very liquid chemical solution the yarn is made from (such as acrylic, nylon and polyester) before it's put through the machine that makes it into thread. With the solution dyed method, the colour goes all the way through each fiber that makes up the woven tufts of carpet.
